Important Information
LATE REGISTRATIONS
If you have entered since November 23rd and not received your Santa Suit, timing chip and information leaflet, please report to the Information Desk at the Indoor Arena at Sportcity on Sunday morning between 8am and 8.30am to collect this.
LATE ENTRIES
A limited number of Entries to the Santa Dash will be available on the morning of the Santa Dash. Please report to the Information Desk to enter – subject to available places
NON-DELIVERY OF SANTA SUITS
If you entered the Santa Dash prior to November 24th and have still not received your Santa Suit, then it may still arrive on Saturday morning to the address you registered with. If for some reason, the Suit does not arrive on Saturday, then please report to the Information Desk so we can make alternative arrangements.
START & FINISH
The Start will be outside the City of Manchester Stadium – Colin Bell West Stand. The race will finish on the Regional Athletics Track which is situated at the same Sportcity site.
5K SANTA DASH COURSE
The race is run on closed roads. You will go around the City of Manchester Stadium and onto Alan Turing Way. Left onto Vickers Street, Varley Street, Bradford Road, New Viaduct Street, Rowsley Street & back into Sportcity. The race will finish on the Regional Athletics Track.
JUNIOR SANTA DASH
This event will take place solely on the Regional Athletics Track. This arena has seating for 600 people so family and friends will be able to sit in the stands and watch their children taking part in total safety.
FAMILY REUNION AREA
If you need to arrange to meet someone, before or after your race then please use the FAMILY REUNION AREA, which is situated next to the Leisure Centre. A useful landmark is the ‘Running Man Statue’.
LOST CHILDREN
Please ensure that no child is left unattended. If any situation arises where there is a lost child then this MUST be reported immediately to the Race H.Q. within the Regional Athletics track.
PARKING
As this race is run on closed roads PLEASE arrive between 8 – 8.30 a.m. Please enter Sportcity via Gate No 2 off Alan Turing Way ( opposite ASDA ).
PLEASE NOTE: If you park on the Sportcity grounds then YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LEAVE BEFORE THE END OF THE EVENT. This is because the course runs directly alongside Alan Turing Way and runners will still be going along the route. Alan Turing Way will be opened once the last person has passed. Until then the gates will remain closed.
Therefore, IF YOU NEED TO LEAVE BEFORE THE END OF THE EVENT THEN YOU MUST use the Velodrome opposite Sportcity . Please follow the directional signs to the Velodrome.
The roads will close at 9 a.m. after this time you will not be allowed into Sportcity and will only be able to use the Velodrome.
Please note that up to 9 a.m. you will be able to approach the Velodrome from both directions. After 9a.m. however, you will only be able to access the Velodrome from the North – (Oldham Road ) direction.
CHIP TIMING
The chip is to be placed on your shoe – PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THIS WHATSOEVER. Timing is taken every time you run over the timing mat which is sited at the start and finish. If you do not run onto the mat – you will not be timed and therefore receive no finishing time.
MEDICAL
First Aid is provided within the Regional Athletics Track. First aid is also available at the start area.

REFRESHMENTS
Please take advantage of the excellent facilities in the Sportcity cafe. Visit the Co-operative food trailer which will be situated next to the Leisure centre in the Family reunion arena. You will also find further refreshment facilities available at the rear of the Athletics track.
RESULTS
The Race Director’s decision is final. For results visit this page on Monday 30th November.
SHOWERS & CHANGING
Please come ready changed for the event. Limited showers & changing facilities are available in the Leisure Centre. This will be on a first come first served basis. There are a limited number of lockers which require a £1 coin.
SPECTATORS
On arrival please make your way to the Regional Athletics Track which has seating for 600 people. Entry to the track is free. This is where the Santa Dash will finish and also where the Junior Dash will take place. Please do not encroach onto the running area.
SWEATSHOP
Will be on site for all your running requirements.
TOILETS
Numerous toilets can be found at the Regional Athletics Track. Also at the Sportcity Leisure Centre & the City of Manchester Stadium. Please follow the directional signs.
